Our Health & Counseling Center provides accessible, caring confidential, high-quality health services to all students. The Center is committed to providing and facilitating growth in all dimensions of health through individual and group health services, counseling, education, programming and service.

Disability Services

Heidelberg University offers a variety of services and resources to help students succeed and, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), faculty and staff work closely with students who have documented disabilities requiring accommodation to ensure equal access to the university’s programs, activities, and services.

Counseling

Free and confidential counseling services are offered to all full-time Heidelberg University students by licensed professional counselors. In individual counseling, you'll meet with a counselor to discuss concerns and learn coping strategies in a private, confidential setting. The counselor will collaborate with you to set counseling goals and evaluate your progress toward those goals. The Health Center also provides group counseling, couples counseling, and outreach programs.

Emergency Room Services

If emergency services are needed when the Health Center is closed, the nearest emergency facility is located at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin (US 224, St. Lawrence Drive - Tiffin-Fostoria Rd.) in Tiffin, Ohio approximately two miles from the Heidelberg campus.
