A deal that’s hard to beat just got a little bit sweeter.
Heidelberg University students, regardless of their major, have the opportunity to graduate with two degrees – a bachelor’s degree and an MBA – for the price of one through the PlusOneAdvantage® MBA Tuition-Free Scholarship Program. Since the PlusOneAdvantage® was launched in 2015, students entered the MBA program immediately following graduation.
But now, undergrads can take up to a two-year gap between their graduation date and starting the PlusOneAdvantage® program.
“This is an opportunity for new grads to get work experience or explore their options (and the world) – or even start on one path and then have the ability to rethink their options up to two years later,” said Dr. Scott Johnson, dean of the School of Business & Technology and professor of management.
To be eligible, any student who completes a bachelor’s degree in any major at Heidelberg in four years with at least a 3.0 GPA is eligible for the PlusOneAdvantage® program. Those who choose the program could save about $29,000 in tuition. Enrollment in the program has grown steadily since its inception four years ago.
There’s more great news, too, and it applies to Heidelberg alumni. The tuition discount for alumni has increased to 50 percent “for all alumni, forever,” Johnson said. Previously, there had been a 25 percent tuition reduction for alumni.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our alumni who have been considering getting an MBA to come back to Heidelberg and earn that degree,” said Ashley Helmstetter, executive director of Alumni Engagement and Major Gifts. “Many are already in the workplace, progressing through their careers. A Heidelberg MBA at a discounted price will help them take their skill set to the next level and make them more marketable going forward.”
Heidelberg’s MBA curriculum reflects and emphasizes the university’s commitment to a liberal arts tradition in ethical, cultural and global issues by focusing on the development of communication, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Research indicates that MBA graduate are more likely to be high performers, well prepared for the challenges of their positions. They are promoted sooner and paid more on average than their peers. And MBA grads are in high demand.
Heidelberg’s School of Business & Technology is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
