Water Detectives – Rivers and Wetlands
July 16-19th
Led by researchers from the National Center for Water Quality Research, you will become water a detective to determine the health of local streams and wetlands. In the field, hands-on training with specialized water quality equipment will help you learn how to assess the physical, chemical, and biological components of streams and wetlands. After collecting their own data, you will learn how to analyze the data you collected to determine the health of the water. Lastly, you will learn how their findings can be used to guide decision making and policy decisions on real-life water quality issues threatening our freshwater systems.
