The Heidelberg University Concert Choir has been selected to perform a live concert on Saturday, February 5, at 11:00 a.m. as part of the Ohio Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference, Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, 300 Lakeside Avenue East, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. Our assigned performance venue in the convention center is the Atrium Ballroom.
Via a blind audition process, the Concert Choir was selected to be one of only 32 performing ensembles and one of only 10 choirs that were selected to perform live concerts. Under the direction of Dr. Greg Ramsdell, director of Choral Activities and professor of Choral Music, the choir will present a program titled My Singing Soul Cries Out. The concert is intended to be tribute to choral music educators and will include the following repertoire:
- The Music of Living by Dan Forrest
- Heilig ist der Herr by Andreas Hammerschmidt
- Bright Morning Stars by Shawn Kirchner
- Refuge by Gwyneth Walker
- Ballade to the Moon by Daniel Elder
- How Can I Keep from Singing arranged by Rollo Dilworth
- A Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter
- Witness arranged by Jack Halloran
Alumni, parents, and friends are encouraged to attend any of the performances. Conference registration is not required of those who wish to attend the Concert Choir's performance on Saturday.
