Because of the winter storm expected over the weekend and into early next week, the schedule of events for Heidelberg University’s celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day has been revised.
We are postponing our food and hygiene collection to a later date. In the meantime, please take the opportunity to make a cash gift that may be used immediately by people who need food and hygiene items.
Here are all of the details for the events that will take place on Monday, the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, and throughout next week:
BRUNCH AND A MOVIE

TIFFIN-SENECA COMMUNITY DINNER
Monday, January 21 ꓲ Faith United Methodist Church, 75 N. Sandusky St., Tiffin
Dinner at 6 p.m. ꓲ Program at 7:15 p.m.
The community is invited to “The Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.” with keynote speaker Tonya Rider, a retired detective and instructor of forensic investigations at Bowling Green State University.
During the program, Heidelberg’s own Dr. Cindy Lepeley will receive the 2019 Peacemaker’s Award. This award recognizes her educational programs on immigration through her Honors Border Trip class, the service trip last summer during which students served as translators for persons seeking refugee status, and service trips to Nicaragua in past years.

"THE MOUNTAIN TOP" READING
Friday, January 25 ꓲ Gundlach Theatre
7:30 p.m.
Watch or participate in a reading of the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play, “The Mountain Top,” by American playwright Katori Hall. The play is a fictional depiction of Rev. King’s last night on Earth, set entirely in Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel on the eve of his assassination in 1968.
