Enjoy a celebration of American song on an October afternoon when old friends Doug McConnell, professor of music and composition at Heidelberg University, and Bill Reyer, professor emeritus of English and creative writing, combine their gifts and shared interests in a recital for baritone and piano/accordion.
The community is invited to this encore collaboration at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Pancoast Recital Hall, Brenneman Music Hall.
The program will feature favorites from the 1930s, cowboy songs, African American spirituals and two original pieces created by McConnell and Reyer.
The concert is free and open to the public.
