I chose Heidelberg because I wanted the opportunity to study in the cadaver lab. I also was drawn to the small student-to-professor ratio.
I majored in Biology for undergrad and Business Administration for my graduate studies because I want to become a registered nurse and eventually have the ability to manage a whole staff of nurses.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was time management and I handled it by evaluating my priorities and planning out my semesters accordingly.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to excel in nursing school.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in SCRUBS, Chem Club, Psi-Chi, and working in the Animal Lab.
My favorite extra-curricular activity was SCRUBS because this club brings in different people from the medical field which helped when I was trying to decide my career path.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my ‘Berg experience is Dr. Pam Faber because she has given me opportunities on an educational and professional level to grow into a well-rounded person. Her advice and help throughout the years will stay with me.
My advice to new freshmen would be start studying for exams earlier than the night before!
My favorite Heidelberg memory was working in the cadaver lab.
My plans after graduation include attending Toledo University to obtain my Master’s degree in Nursing this fall.
