Health Science Major
I chose Heidelberg because it felt like an environment where I could make amazing friends and even better memories, while also having smaller class sizes which helped me build a relationship with all my professors.
I majored in Health science because I have always been interested in being a healthcare provider, and this allowed many different avenues to open up for me.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was the pandemic and I handled it by creating a relationship with my professors and realized that we were all going through the same struggles.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to believe in myself even when the odds were stacked against me.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my ‘Berg experience was Dr. Ryan Musgrave because he has always been somebody I can go to about school-related things and even life things. He has the ability to bring you back down to earth, no matter how stressful school got.
My advice to new freshman me would be to go to games, go out and make friends, find the balance of your social life but also study hard. Realize college will be the quickest four years of your life!
My favorite Heidelberg memory is Fall semester of 2019.
My plans after graduation are to attend Ursuline College to obtain my BSN.
