Psychology Major
I chose Heidelberg because all of the opportunities available and the immediate feeling of home when I stepped on campus.
I majored in Psychology because I strive to understand and make new discoveries about the mind in order to help others and improve humanity for the better.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was managing the stress of extra curriculars, work, and I handled it by leaning on my friends and professors.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to enter society as a more well-rounded person and make a change for tomorrow.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in Delta Sigma Chi, Sigma Tau Nu as a Sig Hon Marching Band, and Symphonic Band.
My favorite extra-curricular activity was Delta Sigma Chi because of the meaningful relationships I built and the constant opportunity for involvement.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my ‘Berg experience is Dr. Traci Stark because of her encouragement and support throughout my journey.
My advice to new freshmen me would be don't shy away from speaking your mind and engaging with your professors.
My favorite Heidelberg memory is every moment I've gotten to spend with my friends.
My plans after graduation are to attend the PsyD program at Adler University in Chicago.
