I chose Heidelberg because of soccer and the close community.
I majored in Criminology and Psychology because I wanted to use psychology to make the law enforcement field better some day.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was trying to figure out my next steps after graduation and I handled it by talking with my professors who talked me through ideas.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to enter into my career field with the necessary knowledge that I need.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in soccer, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Student Research Conference, and being a Writing Consultant and Academic Coach at the Owen Center.
My favorite extra-curricular event was playing soccer because I met my best friends and made friendships that will last forever.
My advice to new freshman would be stay out of your rooms and get involved on campus as much as possible because you will meet so many great people and experience things that will help you with your future.
My favorite Heidelberg memory was beating ONU in soccer for the first time in forever and then making it to the OAC tournament.
My plan after graduation is to go to graduate school for criminal justice administration and hopefully change mental health care within the prison system some day.
