Pride and Prejudice follows the turbulent relationship between Elizabeth Bennet, the daughter of a country gentleman, and Fitzwilliam Darcy, a rich aristocratic landowner. They must overcome the titular sins of pride and prejudice in order to fall in love and marry. In the last 18 months, the COVID pandemic has had a devastating impact on every aspect of our lives. Months of sickness, fear, isolation, hope, and disappointment have changed the way we think and behave. For me, one of the most unfortunate consequences of the pandemic has been a noticeable rise in disagreeable, even hostile, words and actions between people of differing viewpoints. Clearly, our world is in critical need of healing.
