Group Classes

Guitar Class

This group-guitar course is designed for beginner guitar students looking to learn the basics of music notation, chords, picking and strumming techniques. The purpose of this class is to be an introduction to playing the guitar as both a solo and an accompanying instrument. After completing the course, students have the opportunity to continue their education by registering for another group guitar class offered or by registering for private lessons (recommended).

The class will collectively learn pieces and guitar techniques from various genres including classical, pop, folk, jazz, rock, blues, flamenco, and rock and roll. In order to learn all these genres, students will be shown how to read multiple types of guitar sheet music. Any student may enter this class regardless of skill and previous experience.
