Greek Life

Greek OrganizationsWelcome to Greek Life at Heidelberg University! Greek Life was established when the Excelsior Men's Society, the first men's literary fraternity, was founded in 1851. In the past 160 years, the Heidelberg campus has seen the founding of eight more fraternities and societies. The Greek community has been the gateway for leadership opportunities, scholastic support and long-standing fraternal relationships. With 9 fraternities and sororities, Greek students can be found all over campus, involved in almost every student organization, athletic team and honorary society. I hope as a prospective Greek member, parent, alumni member or current member of our Greek community, you enjoy exploring what it means to be Greek at Heidelberg University!
