After a storied career at Heidelberg, 2010 graduate Amanda Atchison enters her fourth year on the coaching staff. 

As a student-athletes, Atchison saved her best season for last, recording 364 kills and a .264 hitting percentage, while tallying 58 blocks in 2009. She helped guide the Berg to its second Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title and an appearance in the NCAA Championships.

During her career, Heidelberg made three trips to the NCAA Championships (2007, 2008 and 2009), as well as emerged into the national rankings for the first time in the history of the program.

Atchison originally hails from Frankfort, Ohio and attended Frankfort Adena High School. She graduated in May 2010 from Heidelberg with a degree in sports management and health and physical education. Atchison received her master’s degree from Heidelberg and currently serves as Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs.

Amanda Atchison assumed the position of Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs in May 2012 following her graduation with a master's from Heidelberg, and will be a Residence Coordinator living in King Hall.  Amanda is primarily responsible for developing and facilitating programs / services for historically underrepresented students, working to improve awareness and appreciation for racial and cultural diversity, and strengthening retention and academic success.
