Disability Confidentiality

Heidelberg University respects the privacy of its students. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act governs all student record information. Information related to a disability provided by a student as part of a request for accommodation will remain confidential. All information concerning student disabilities and accommodation is kept separately from student academic files. Only those members of the faculty or administration involved in the decision making process on a requested accommodation will have access to the information. By signing and submitting the signed Release of Information, the student consents to access of that information by those faculty and administration members involved in the decision making process.
