Finals Week and Checkout Procedures
To prepare for final exams, 24-hour quiet hours will be instituted the Wednesday prior to exams starting at 9:30 pm. Unless they are participating in commencement or living in summer housing, students are expected to checkout of their residence hall within 24 hours of their last final exam, or by Wednesday, May 8 by 4:30 pm, whichever comes first. Students participating in commencement should check out of their room by 9:00 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Sign-up sheets for checkout times will be available in each residence hall. Please ask your RA or RC if you cannot find where to sign up. To avoid improper checkout fees, students should schedule a time at least 24 hours in advance.
In addition, please make sure to do the following:
- Remove all items from your room
- Have your ID and key with you
- Unbunk/unloft beds, open all drawers and close and lock all windows
- Sign your Room Condition Report
- Leave keys with the staff member checking you out
Your RA will conduct an inspection with you to determine whether initial charges will be assessed for damages. However, charges are not final until after the Campus Life and Krammes Service Center staff conduct a final inspection after buildings close.
Summer Storage
Limited storage is available in Miller Hall for out-of-state and international students only. Students must store all items in boxes and attach a Summer Storage Inventory form to each box. These forms will be available in the Miller Hall duty office from 8 pm - 10 pm on weekdays, and from 10 pm - 12 pm on Friday and Saturday.
