Off Campus Status

  1. Students are required to maintain occupancy in campus housing during their full academic career at Heidelberg unless authorization is granted to withdraw from college housing. Students must meet one or more of the following criteria to live off campus:
    1. 23 years old or older on or before the first day of classes prior to academic year beginning.
    2. Married or a single parent of a dependent minor child.  Documentation of marriage certificate or birth record of child must be attached with application.
    3. Attain 75 credit hours with a 2.75 cumulative GPA prior to January 1, 2013, and achieve 87 credit hours with a 2.75 cumulative GPA for the Fall semester.
  2. Off Campus status will not be granted mid-year. (For further information, see Housing Contracts.)
  3. Students must re-apply for off-campus status each academic year.
  4. Application for off-campus living is not final until land-lord agreement is submitted to the Campus Life Office.
  5. The cost of a double room will be applied to a student’s account until approval is granted.
