Examination of the history of anthropological theory and contemporary anthropological thought. The course takes the form of a seminar designed to present and discuss various themes in anthropology as a foundation for the capstone experience. Designed to help students learn to evaluate particular theoretical frameworks and articulate the values behind different approaches, the course also provides the vehicle for student completion and presentation of their capstone research. Co-requisite: ANT 490. Prerequisite: Senior status; COM 100; ENG 101. Anthropology major or minor, approved capstone experience project proposal.
