This course provides an overview of the contemporary issues of studying the dead while surveying the mortuary practices of several historic and prehistoric cultures. Techniques covered will include paleodemography and quantitative analyses. Issues covered include repatriation and reburial. Students who have taken Bioarchaeology as Special Topics in Anthropology are not eligible for this course. Prerequisite: ANT 205 or ANT 210
