The Heidelberg School of Business invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting beginning in fall, 2013. Rank is negotiable for a senior member of faculty. The position requires teaching at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate an engagement in scholarly and professional development activities including appropriate research and publication to maintain academic qualifications; provide academic mentoring and advising; display a strong commitment to student centered active learning and student engagement activities; contribute to curriculum development; serve on various committees; and assume other instructional and service-related duties as assigned. The course assignments may be during the day, evening, or weekend in both on and off-campus locations. Flexibility to teach during the summer, and some experience with the corporate education/training and professional certification programs, is preferred.

This position reports directly to the Dean of the Heidelberg School of Business. Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate will be offered a tenure track position or a multiple-year contract.

An earned Ph.D./D.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution or ABDs with a clear plan for completion is desired. A Master’s degree with eighteen graduate hours of Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution may be considered. Professional credentials such as CPA/CMA/CIA are strongly desired.
