A “Night at the Museum,” will take listeners on a walk through a number of sonic art galleries. Like all art museums, our concert is organized into a series of rooms, and within each gallery one encounters landscapes, portraits and still lifes. The first gallery is a series of pieces related to Christmas, while the second gallery is a set of pieces that relate to various stages in human relationships.
Music for this special theme program will include:
O lux beatissima by Howard Helvey
The King of Love My Shepherd Is, arranged by Mack Wilberg
Riu, riu chiu, attributed to Mateo Flecha
Go Where I Send Thee, arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory
The Moon Is Distant from the Sea by David Childs
Shenandoah, arranged by Bob Chilcott
In My Dreams by Paul Mealor
A Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter
