TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams are set to compete Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Joe Banks Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University in Ada. The first gun from the ONU Sports Center will go off at 11 a.m.
Both teams are coming off fifth-place finishes at last weekend’s Ohio Athletic Conference North Split Meet where junior Marian Bevington (Celina/Parkway) won the women’s long jump for the second straight weekend.
Five Student Princes—seniors Jacob Hoffman (Shelby) and Joe Yoder (West Liberty/West Liberty-Salem), junior Shondell Thomas (Westerville/South), sophomore Cartel Brooks (Kokomo, Ind./Galion) and freshman Austin Bentz (Tiffin/Columbian) highlighted men’s action with third-place finishes.
The Joe Banks Invitational will serve as a final tune up for the All-Ohio Championships hosted by OAC foe Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio on Feb. 11.
