Austintown, Ohio - May 20, 2010 – Senior Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) of the Heidelberg University women’s track and field team has earned a spot on the Academic Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention Team. It is the first Academic All-OAC honor of her career.
The award winners are selected by the OAC faculty athletic representatives. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve and be in at least his second year of participation in the sport.
Depinet will graduate with a 3.25 gpa in sports management. She has been a solid performer in sprints for Heidelberg. Most recently, Depinet picked up her second All-OAC honor in the 400-meter dash. She finished in third in a time of 58.30.
