Women Place Seventh at OAC Relays

Berea, Ohio – January 31, 2010- The Heidelberg University indoor track and field teams participated in the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Relays Saturday, January 30. The event was hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College on the Harrison Dillard Track in the Lou Higgins Center.

Heidelberg’s men placed second of 10 teams with 96 points and the women finished seventh with 68 points.

Overall, women earned three first-place finishes. Senior Judy Bataille (Felicity, Ohio /  Felicity-Franklin) and junior Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian) placed first in the 55 meter dash relay with a time of 14.90.

Senior Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel), sophomore Shanice Mclellan (Lima, Ohio / Lima Senior), sophomore Jazmine Shaw (Columbus, Ohio / Hamilton Township), and Bataille finished first in the 4 x 200 meter relay (1:47.38) and in the 4 x 400 meter relay (4:12.58).

Mclellan and freshman Maria Bevington (Celina, Ohio / Parkway) finished second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 18.12.
