Austintown, Ohio – January 18, 2010 – Senior sprinter Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) of the Heidelberg University women’s track and field team was tabbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the week of January 18, 2010.
Depinet ran away with three titles en route to helping Heidelberg to a fourth place finish at the Mike Hout Invitational hosted by Capital University on Saturday.
She took home the individual title in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 1:01.23. Depinet teamed up with Lilly Hansberger (Norwalk, Ohio / Western Reserve), Judy Bataille (Felecity, Ohio / Felicity-Franklin) and Jazmine Shaw (Columbus, Ohio / Hamilton Township) to bring home the championship in the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet raced to a time of 4:14.72.
Depinet, along with Shaw, Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian) and Shanice McLellan (Lima, Ohio / Lima Senior) to take home the title in the 4x200-meter relay in a time of 1:51.83.
