TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team won the first two matches in doubles play, but eventually fell to The College of Wooster, 7-2, in a non-conference match today in Tiffin, Ohio.
The doubles tandems of sophomore Deidre Potter (Chillicothe) and seniors Kayla Gerber (Clyde) and freshman Katie Strahan (West Chester/Lakota East) and senior Jackie Earl (Crestline) won both matches by an 8-3 count to give the Berg a 2-0 lead, but the Fighting Scots would take the third doubles match and sweep singles play for the win.
Heidelberg returns to the courts Monday, April 9 for an Ohio Athletic Conference match against Muskingum University in New Concord at 3:30 p.m.
