Lexington, Ohio – April 28, 2011 – The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team fell short to John Carroll University at the Lakewood Tennis Club, 9-0.
The Berg drops to 2-14 overall and 1-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Blue Streaks improve to 7-10 and 5-2.
Kam Haifleigh (Wolvenne Lake, Mich. / Bishop Foley) showed resilience in the four singles slot with forcing a third set, but lost 6-2, 7-6, 10-8.
The duo of Taylor Stoll (Norwalk, Ohio / Edison) and Linda Miller (Garfield Heights, Ohio / Garfield Heights) fought hard in number three doubles, but lost 8-6.
Heidelberg looks to get back in the win column as it travels to Wilmington College tomorrow (April 29) at 3:30 p.m.
