Westerville, Ohio – May 4, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team traveled to Westerville, Ohio this afternoon to compete against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Otterbein College in the OAC Quarterfinals tournament. The Berg was defeated, 5-0.
Heidelberg finishes the 2009-10 season with an overall record to 5-12 and 3-6 in the OAC, while Otterbein goes to 18-4 and advances to the OAC Semifinals.
In doubles Jackquelyn Earl (Crestline, Ohio / Crestline)and Linda Miller (Garfield Heights, Ohio / Garfield Heights) managed to score three points in a 8-3 loss.
For the season Earl led Heidelberg with a 9-7 overall singles record, while Kayla Gerber (Clyde, Ohio / Clyde) and Darcy Young (Green Springs, Ohio / Clyde) led in doubles with a team-high six wins.
