Ada, Ohio – April 14, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s tennis traveled this afternoon to take on Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Ohio Northern University. The Berg fell to the Polar Bears, 7-2. Heidelberg now stands at 3-8 overall and 1-3 in the OAC, while the Polar Bears improve to 6-7 and 3-1.
In the fifth singles spot Jackquelyn Earl (Crestline, Ohio / Crestline) picked up a win over her opponent Jenny Provost in two sets (6-2, 6-3). The win gives Earl her seventh overall win at singles for the season.
Earl also teamed up with Linda Miller (Garfield Heights, Ohio / Garfield Heights) to pick up another win at third doubles, 8-6.
The Berg returns for a home match Saturday, April 17, against Marietta College with start time scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
