ADA, Ohio - The Heidelberg University women’s tennis team traveled to Ohio Northern University to battle the Polar Bears in Ohio Athletic Conference competition. Despite the efforts of the Heidelberg ladies (2-8, 1-2 OAC), the Polar Bears downed the Student Princes, 9-0.
The most competitive match of the afternoon came from Heidelberg’s number one, Katie Strahan (West Chester/Lakota East). Strahan battled ONU number one, Michelle Tuma, to a two set loss, 6-4; 6-2.
The Heidelberg ladies were scheduled to take on Wilmington College on April 11, but the match will be scored as a 5-0 forfeit in Heidelberg’s favor. The Berg will return to the court on April 13, when they travel to Marietta University to take on the Pioneers. The match is slated for 1:00 p.m. from Marietta, Ohio.
