Tiffin, Ohio – October 13, 2009 – The Heidelberg University women’s soccer team was defeated by John Carroll University with a score of 2-0. Heidelberg drops to 5-8-1, 2-2 OAC, while the Blue Streaks improve to 5-8-1, 3-1 in the OAC.
Caitlyn Walton did all the damage for the Blue Streaks with a goal in the 12th and in the 62nd minute.
Heidelberg’s offense was led by Emily Riggs (Armada, Mich. / Armada) with a team-high three shots with one shot on goal. Shyanne Becker (Evansville, Ind. / Harrison) contributed with two shots and a shot on goal. Krista Blake (Geneva, Ohio / Geneva), Emily Mack (Shiloh, Ohio / Crestview), and Carolyn Gross (Centerville, Ohio / Centerville) each had a shot on goal.
The Berg’s Lauren Sweeney (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic) and Molly Schriber (Sidney, Ohio / Sidney) accumulated 7 saves for the game.
Heidelberg returns to action this weekend as they host Otterbein College, Saturday October 17, at 4:00 p.m.
