Tiffin, Ohio – February 8, 2010 – Two members of the Heidelberg University women’s soccer team have been voted on the 2009 Onslow Classic Soccer Association NCAA Division III Women's All-Ohio Team. Junior forward Carolyn Gross (Centerville, Ohio / Centerville) and freshman defender Michelle Gross (Centerville, Ohio / Centerville) have been selected for this honor.
This marks Carolyn Gross’s third postseason award. She also received 2009 All Ohio Athletic Conference and 2009 All Ohio Academic honors. On the field, she led the team with 15 points courtesy of seven goals and an assist, while starting in every game for the Berg. Four of Gross’s seven goals resulted in a game-winning goal which was tied for second best in the OAC.
Carolyn’s sister Michelle Gross made an immediate impact as a first-year player. As a freshman, Michelle started in 17 games for the Berg and played an imperative role with team achieving six shutouts on the year.
