Heidelberg Women's Soccer Team Loses to Adrian (MICH.) College in Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich.—The Heidelberg women’s soccer team lost a non-conference match today against Adrian (Mich.) College, 6-0, under cloudy skies at Performance Stadium in Adrian. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, was rescheduled after lightning storms threatened the Adrian area two days ago.

The win improves the Bulldogs to 2-0, while the loss drops the Berg to 1-1.

Despite a strong defensive effort by Adrian, senior midfielder Kristen Schneider (Evendale/Mount Notre Dame) was able to get off three shots, including one on goal. Schneider scored the game-winning goal in last night’s 2-1 win at Albion (Mich.) College.

In goal, sophomore Brittany Labry (Aurora/Twinsburg) and freshman Natalie Wolfe (Columbus/Madison Plains) each logged 45 minutes. Labry notched four saves, while Wolfe had three.

The Berg will continue its three-game road swing in Grove City (Pa.) on Wednesday, September 7 when it takes on Grove City College in a 4 p.m. contest at College Field.
