Hiram, Ohio – September 27, 2010 – The Heidelberg University women’s golf team participated in the Hiram Invitational on Monday. The five-team invitational was hosted by Hiram College. Heidelberg finished fourth, falling behind Hiram College, Denison University, and Lourdes College. The Berg finished with a 473.
Freshman Heather Lentz (Sandusky, Ohio / Perkins) led the team with a fourth place finish with a 102 (50, 52). Following Lentz in 15th place was Ali Sayre (Sylvania, Ohio / Sylvania Northview) with a 118 (55, 63) and freshman Claire Meener (Fairlawn, Ohio / Copley) in 17th with a 120 (64, 56).
Also competing for Heidelberg was sophomores Kayla Percy (Cincinnati, Ohio / Saint Ursula) finishing with a 70 on the front nine and returned with a 63 on the back for a 133. Brittany Greenbaum (Milford Center, Ohio / Fairbanks) finished with a 154 (76, 78).
Next up for Heidelberg is its annual Heidelberg Fall Classic starting this Friday, October 1 at Mohawk Golf and Country Club.
