Tiffin, Ohio - April 21, 2010 - Bethel College leads the way after the opening round of the Heidelberg Spring Classic. Heidelberg University is the host institution of the invitational that is taking place at the Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.
Bethel opened with a 325, which was highlighted by the play of Melanie Day and Megan Jakel. Day leads the field with a 79, seven over par, but is followed closely by Jakel's 80.
St. Francis College is in third place with a 335 followed by Baldwin-Wallace College (354), Ohio Northern University (362), Adrian College (371), Columbus State Community College (375) and Jackson Community College (540).
Heidelberg has three individuals competing. Senior Tiffany Stark (Lancaster, Ohio / Lancaster) leads the way with a 93 followed by Heather Lentz's (Sandusky, Ohio / Perkins) 94. Erika Danver (Jackson, Ohio / Jackson) opened with an 113.
