Springfield, Ohio – October 11, 2009 – Under the guidance of first-year head coach Faith Egli, the Heidelberg University women’s golf team closed out its 2009 fall schedule at the Pat Clouse Invitational. Wittenberg University hosted the event at the Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio.
As a team, the Berg shot an 844 (423, 421) to stand 16th in the 17-team field. NCAA Division II foes the University of Findlay (344, 358) and Ohio Dominican University (358, 353) took home the top two spots in the team race.
Taking home top honors for Heidelberg was Kaley Willer (Green Springs, Ohio / Clyde) with a tie for 62nd. Willer opened with a 99 and returned to shoot a team-best round of 93 to finish at 192.
Jen Wargo (Middleburg Heights, Ohio / Midpark) stood in a tie for 68th after firing a 201 (98, 103) followed by Aileen Sayre (Sylvania, Ohio / Sylvania Northview) with a 213 (110, 103).
Rounding out the Heidelberg representatives was Kathryn Dutton (Dublin, Ohio / Worthington Kilbourne) with a 243 (116, 127) and Kayla Percy (Cincinnati, Ohio / Saint Ursula) with a 245 (123, 122).
