Wilmington, Ohio – October 31, 2009 - The Heidelberg University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Wilmington College.
Heidelberg’s women’s team finished ninth, ahead of Muskingum University.
Leading for the Berg was Bobbie Custer (Woodstock, Ohio / Triad) with a time of 24:00.64, which earned her a top-30 finish. Following Custer was Michelle Fitch (Kinsman, Ohio / Badger) who crossed the finish line in 25:14.22.
Macy McFarland (Huron, Ohio / Huron) and Amy Dunham (Ellicott City, Md. / Centennial) finished with times of 26:05.17 and 26:14.28, respectively. Rounding out the fifth spot was Jessica Jones (Wauseon, Ohio / Wauseon) with a time of 26:26.16.
Heidelberg races next in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals, in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m.
