BEXLEY, Ohio – Marian Bevington (Celina/Parkway) had 19 kills to lead the Student Princes of Heidelberg University to a four-set (25-16 25-23 26-28 25-22) victory over host Capital University.
Jamie Kluding (Norwalk/Monroeville) and Rachel Ferguson (Brighton, MI) each recorded double-doubles in the win. Kluding finished with 13 kills and 23 digs, while Ferguson tallied 28 assists and 10 digs.
“Each conference win is special,” said head coach Jason Miller. “Capital made us work hard today, but I was pleased.”
Tessa Benanzer (Fort Loramie) led Heidelberg with 33 digs. Jubilee Haase (Miamisburg) notched 13 digs.
Heidelberg (15-6) returns home to face Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
