Paris Hilliard is entering his first year as an assistant coach for the Heidelberg cross country and track and field teams. He will be working mainly with sprinters and hurdles.
A Lorain, Ohio native, Hilliard is very familiar with Heidelberg and their success because he has been part of that success during his years as an undergrad.
He participated in track and field at Heidelberg for the past four years where he was a ten time All-Conference honoree and a six time All-Ohio honoree. He was also the 200 meter All-Ohio champion in 2008. Hilliard has been part of four provisional qualifying relay teams and has made two national appearances in 2007 and 2010. In addition, he has been part of two record relay teams, including the 4x200m (1:30.04) and the 4x100m (41.45).
In high school, Hilliard attended Lorain Admiral King, where he was he a two-time letterwinner in football, basketball and track.
While attending Heidelberg, he was a member of Tau Pi Phi-business and the Black student union and made the Dean’s List twice. Hilliard graduated from Heidelberg University in May of 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in sports management and business administration. He currently resides in Tiffin, Ohio and is pursuing his Master’s degree in education at Heidelberg.
