Head coach Jerry McDonald and the Heidelberg University men’s tennis team lost only one senior this past spring, making the Berg men experienced and primed for competition. A season ago, The Student Princes finished 10-9 on the court, and will look to improve upon last year with a roster riddled with upperclassmen.
Senior Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor) led the Berg men last year as he claimed an All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorable mention.
For the 2012-2013 season, junior Zach Schwenning (Barberton) and Matthew McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview), along with Lochotzki will lead the Student Princes through the fall portion of the season, into the spring and OAC competition.
This fall, the men will not compete in any dual matches, but will travel to Oberlin on September 29-30, to compete in the Oberlin Invitational. The Berg will compete as individuals for the two-day tournament.
