OBERLIN, Ohio - Zachary Schwenning (Barberton), Matt McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) and Dorion Kempf (Galion) represented Heidelberg University men's tennis at the Oberlin College Invitational.
Schwenning went 3-0 for the weekend, winning in straight sets.
He defeated Oberlin's Eli Rogatz 6-4, 6-1 in his first match. Against Brad Minrovic of Baldwin Wallace, Schwenning won 6-4, 6-3. He closed out singles play by defeating Dominic Eusanio from John Caroll 6-0, 6-2.
McDivitt finished 1-2. His lone win came against John Carroll's Connor Burkhart, 6-3, 6-2.
Kempf lost his only singles match, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles action, Heidelberg dropped two matches. McDivitt and Schwenning lost 8-3, while Kempf and Schwenning lost 8-2.
Heidelberg returns to the courts in February. They take on Adrian at the Lexington Racquet Club on February 17 at noon.
