WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Otterbein University defeated the Heidelberg University men’s tennis team, 6-3, today in an Ohio Athletic Conference match in Westerville, Ohio. The Cardinals took singles play, 6-3, and swept doubles action.
Senior Bobbi Lochotzki (Oak Harbor) defeated Ryan Roberts; 7-6 (9-7), 7-5; at No. 1 singles. Sophomores Dorion Kempf (Galion) and Matthew McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) also won at Nos. 5 and 6 singles, respectively. Kempf defeated Sam Lawless; 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10); while McDivitt defeated Andrew Sutter; 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).
The Student Princes fall to 10-7 overall and 4-4 in the OAC. Otterbein improves to 7-10 overall and 5-2 in the OAC.
Heidelberg closes regular season play Saturday when it hosts John Carroll University at 1 p.m.
