Men’s Tennis Sweeps Wilmington in OAC Match

LEXINGTON, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team won its fifth straight match today, sweeping Wilmington College, 9-0, in an Ohio Athletic Conference match at Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington, Ohio. The sweep was the second consecutive and third of the season for the Student Princes.

Seniors Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor), Cliff Goetz (Oak Harbor), Ryan Patrick Earl (Madison), sophomore Zachary Schwenning (Barberton) and Dorion Kempf (Galion), and freshman Matthew McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) each took singles victories. Schwenning and Kempf both won without dropping a single game.

The doubles tandems of Lochotzki and Goetz, Earl and Schwenning, and Kempf and McDivitt also won matches.

The Student Princes return to the court next Saturday when they host Muskingum University in an OAC match in Tiffin.
