Men’s Tennis Hosts Wilmington in OAC Match Saturday

TIFFIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team, winners of four straight matches, will look to extend their winning streak Saturday when it hosts Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match at Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington, Ohio.

The Student Princes (6-3, 1-0 OAC) are coming off a 9-0 sweep Wednesday of Bluffton College. The Berg has swept two of its last three matches.

Sophomore Dorion Kempf (Galion) (7-2) has won five consecutive matches and senior Ryan Patrick Earl (Madison) (5-4) and sophomore Zachary Schwenning (Barberton) (5-4) have each won three straight. The No. 1 doubles tandem of seniors Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor) and Cliff Goetz (Oak Harbor) (4-3) has won four in a row.

Wilmington (0-6, 0-3 OAC) fell to OAC foe Marietta College, 8-1, in its last match. Connor LaVelle owns the Quakers’ lone individual win of the season.

Following Saturday’s match, the Berg will host Muskingum University on Saturday, April 6 in an OAC match.
