HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team wrapped up its four-match tour of Hilton Head, S.C. today by sweeping Gordon (Mass.) College, 9-0. The sweep was the second of the season for the Student Princes.
Seniors Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor), Cliff Goetz (Oak Harbor), Ryan Patrick Earl (Madison), sophomore Zachary Schwenning (Barberton) and Dorion Kempf (Galion), and freshman Matthew McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) each took singles victories. McDivitt dropped just two games.
The doubles tandems of Lochotzki and Goetz, Earl and Schwenning, and Kempf and McDivitt also won matches.
Heidelberg returns to Ohio sporting a 4-3 record. The Student Princes return to the court Saturday, March 24 when they host Capital University in an OAC match at 1 p.m.
