DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team opened its 2011-12 schedule today with a 7-2 win over Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio. The Student Princes won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.
In singles action, seniors Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor) and Patrick Ryan Earl (Madison) and sophomores Zach Schwenning (Barberton), Dorion Kempf (Galion) and Matt McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) each posted wins.
In doubles play, the tandems of freshman Dan Klish (Canastata, N.Y./Canastata) and McDivitt and Lochotzki-Kempf also won matches.
