Tiffin, Ohio - March 31, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team lost in its spring home opener in an Ohio Athletic Conference match against the University of Mount Union (6-3). The Student Princes fall to a record of 5-5 overall and 0-1 in the OAC, while the Raiders improve to 4-6 and 1-0.
Seniors Dylan Booth (Westerville, Ohio / Central) and Miles Yetter (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome) fought for two victories during singles. Booth defeated Mount Union’s Drew LeGendre in two, 6-3 and 6-1. Yetter won the first set 6-2, while dropping in the second 5-7. Yetter finished the match strong on top defeating the Raiders Jeff Looker 6-4.
The duo of junior Ryan Earl (Madison, Ohio / Madison) and freshman Zachary Schwenning (Barberton, Ohio / Barberton) defeated Fockler/Yackmack 8-4.
The Berg returns to the court this weekend in New Concord, Ohio for an OAC match-up against Muskingum.
