Hilton Head, S.C. – March 18, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team concluded its annual Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. with a 6-3 setback to Gordon College. The loss evens Heidelberg’s record to 4-4 on the year, while Gordon improves to 2-3.
Despite dropping three doubles matches, Heidelberg answered with three wins in singles action. Dylan Booth (Westerville, Ohio / Central) led the way with a straight set win at fifth singles. Booth won 6-1, 6-4.
Opening up with a 6-2 win in set one was Cliff Goetz (Oak Harbor, Ohio / Oak Harbor) at second singles. He fell 7-5 in set two, but rebounded for a 10-6 win in set three.
At sixth singles, Miles Yetter (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome) came from a set down to win the match. In the end he fell 6-3 in set one, but won 7-5 and 10-4 to claim the match victory.
