DELAWARE, Ohio – Andres Isea scored his first two collegiate goals, but Heidelberg University men’s soccer fell to No. 6 Ohio Wesleyan 3-2 in overtime.
Isea’s second goal, off of a corner kick, tied the game in the 88th minute and forced overtime. After a scoreless first overtime period, OWU’s Jon Stenger sent a shot over the outstretched arm of goalkeeper Matthew Stevens to win the game.
Ohio Wesleyan (6-0) scored first on a Taylor Rieger goal in the 21st minute.
In the 39th minute, Heidelberg’s Kyle Boone rang a shot off of the crossbar, but Isea knocked in the rebound to knot the game at one.
The Battling Bishops regained the advantage moments later on a goal by Evan Lee just before halftime.
The loss is the first of the season for head coach Brian Haley’s team, which opened up with three straight wins at home.
