'Berg Competes in the OAC Tournament

Alliance, Ohio – May 1, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s golf team, under the guidance of first-year head coach Daniel Hartsel, took part in the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship hosted by Mount Union College at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio. 

Heidelberg finished in seventh with a total score of 633.  Rounding out the top-three schools were Otterbein College (600), Mount Union College (605), and Ohio Northern University (620).
 
Two-time defending OAC medalist senior Zack Koinis (Vermilion, Ohio / Vermilion) led the way for Heidelberg shooing a 154 (75, 79) for a tie in 14th place. Following close behind with a top-20 finish was David Lilly (Greencastle, Ind. / Greencastle) who went 155 (77, 78) which was good for a tie for 16th place.

Zak Markley (Williamsville, N.Y. / Williamsville) posted a 162 (77, 85) while Corey Peirson (Troy, Ohio / Troy) rounded out the top-four finishes for the Berg with a score of 163 (82, 81). 

Also competing was Kevin Lenhart (Arlington, Ohio / Arlington) who shot a 166 (82, 84).
